MEET OUR TEAM

Elizabeth Maldonado, LICSW-S, MSW

Owner & Clinician

“Entering the therapy world can be scary and stressful, my goal is to make the process of healing as enjoyable as possible.”

About My Clients

I enjoy working with clients on boundary setting, healthy communication, and building the life you've always wanted. I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds but do have increased knowledge around the LGBTQ+ community and the needs within. I have also completed multiple additional training on trauma and its effects on the mind, body, and spirit. I also have increased training and experience with Domestic/Sexual violence.

My Background and Approach

My personal goals are to change the stereotype of what a therapist is, my approach is my own and I find that it works well with creating an open dialogue and making really positive steps towards health and healing. I look forward to meeting new clients, and starting the journey towards growth

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Working to make positive changes in your life doesn't have to be full of fear and dread, we can work from a point of positivity, humor, and creativity to make a huge impact. During my career, I've strived to make dealing with the difficult as smooth and painless as possible. Empowerment and no-nonsense approach are my favorite places to begin to build.

Ashley Stephens, LGSW, MSW

Clinician

"Healing doesn’t have to happen in a stiff office or through perfect words. Sometimes growth starts with simply having someone walk alongside you, challenge old patterns, and remind you that change is possible."

About My Clients

I enjoy working with individuals navigating mental health concerns, substance use disorders, and co-occurring challenges. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to create a supportive and judgment-free space where you feel heard and understood. I enjoy helping clients build healthy coping skills, improve communication, set boundaries, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My Background and Approach

My experience has primarily focused on working with individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. I believe therapy should feel authentic, approachable, and tailored to your unique needs. My style is laid-back, collaborative, and genuine. Therapy doesn't have to be the stereotypical white lab coat, "tell me all your secrets while you lay on a sofa” experience. Sometimes it’s simply having an unbiased person beside you to help you heal, learn, grow, and navigate life's challenges. I take a strengths-based and solution-focused approach, helping clients identify what's already working, build practical skills, and create realistic steps toward their goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing can happen through connection, self-awareness, and even humor. I’m almost always smiling or laughing and would describe myself as someone with a great sense of humor. While therapy often involves discussing difficult topics, growth doesn't always have to feel heavy. When appropriate, humor can be a powerful tool for building connection, perspective, and resilience. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where clients feel supported, empowered, and encouraged to be themselves. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the sunshine, being outdoors, traveling, gardening, reading, and making memories with my partner and children. I believe in finding balance, embracing life's simple joys, and helping others discover the strengths they already possess.
